As the non-profit arm to the East Central Province (Region) of one of most historic organizations comprised mainly of African American men, the Marcus Peter Blakemore Foundation is establishing itself as a leading voice of influence to bringing about social and systemic changes needed to improve the outcomes and lives of young people in under served communities throughout Ohio, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia in the form of advocacy and program support.
HISTORY
Established in 2017 as a non-profit, tax exempt, publicly supported organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service code, the Foundation was founded to support the outreach activities of Kappa men in the East Central Province and friends in their communities.
MISSION
The mission of the Marcus Peter Blakemore Foundation is to identify and invest in opportunities that engage today’s generation of young people in leading the social, economic and educational transformation of undeserved and underrepresented communities in our region.
VISION
The Marcus Peter Blakemore Foundation is built upon the fundamental premise that celebrates individual achievement and strong communities of color. We believe that can only be realized when human kind makes an unwavering commitment to the promotion of equality and ending poverty for all.
